I stumbled upon Jack Olsen’s garage in Julian Edgar’s book Setting up a home car workshop. I was very impressed with the clean and consistent look and the functionality contained in a relatively small space. Luckily, there’s a Youtube video by Jack himself that shows all details of the garage and explains how it was built. While it is difficult for me to replicate some of the solutions here due to a lack of space, there are a few things that I plan on using for my own workshop:
- A consistent colour scheme
- Folding, space-saving workbenches
- A finished (i.e. not bare concrete) floor in a light colour
