Judging by many workshop tours on YouTube, you really can’t have a workshop without at least one wall with French Cleat storage. So naturally I didn’t want to be left out. The wall behind my workbench already had holes and plugs that I simply re-used. I also had a couple of suitable wooden strip lying around. I cut along one edge with my track saw set to 45 degrees, and then cut them to length and screwed them to the plugs. The leftovers are the counter pieces that are hung above/behind the wall-mounted strips. Items are simply screwed to these with wood screws and can then be freely placed along the wall. Things like clamps can also be hung directly onto the wooden strips.
